Punishment

I’ve been wanting to write this poem for a very long time – I’m talking months. But, I never seem to make the time to actually do it. That, and I’m afraid you’ll think I’m ridiculous. It’s a very silly topic, with a silly rendition.

Today, I’m being bold. Maybe it’s the beautiful Fall weather, or the apple, cinnamon and pumpkin aroma I’ve inhaled over the long German holiday weekend – or – maybe I’m just tired of thinking about it and want to move it out of my brain space. Plus, I just finished this week’s laundry and had to listen to the dang thing beep at me at least a hundred times. One of these days, I’m going to…

Anyway, I hope you find humor and relatedness and all those wonderful things that words and poetry do for your soul.
