You like to read. I like to write. Who will do the math?!

Have you made your 2016 reading challenge yet?  I did.  Last week.  No time to waste when it comes to that; it’s serious business!

Last year, I finally signed up with  I love having a list of books to-read and keeping track of the one’s I’ve read, or currently reading.  It just makes me feel organized. But, the thing I’ve really enjoyed is the Reading Challenge.  Last year, I challenged myself to 25 books, one about every two weeks.  I went over that challenge by about ten books or so.  And, I don’t think it was enough.

My appetite for GOOD literature has not been satiated just yet.  Every time I read a book, I find ten more getting added to my list.  Maybe it’s not that bad, but it sure seems like it.  My to-read list is currently at 70 something.  So, I decided this year, to play catch up and feel like I’ve really made a dent in my list; I challenged myself to read 52 books – one a week.

I might be crazy, or I might be a book nerd.  Either way, I win!

So, I am currently half-way through finishing book #3 (and it’s only week 2 of the year, did you catch that – wink, wink). I’m reading Lost & Found, by Brooke Davis.  While it claims to be a heartwarming read, I’ve actually been a little weirded out by some of it.  Maybe it’s because I’ve never been to Australia and just don’t understand the ways of those living ‘down under.’  We will just have to wait and see how the story develops and how I feel at the end of it.

Although, I LOVE this quote from the pages I read yesterday.  It really made me stop and think.

“In their life, Karl and Evie didn’t go anywhere, ever.  They were each other’s foreign countries.  Only unhappy people leave home, Evie declared.”

Considering my life is one giant move and we are constantly planning our next trip, this shook me to my bones.  I really gave it some thought.

And, I’m still thinking about it.  So, if you will, please return tomorrow to find out how my little noggin’ has decided to process that declaration.

In the meantime, please leave your own thoughts and comments below!

Until tomorrow –

Cheers & Champagne,
