Last winter, we received five minutes of snowfall. That’s it. It was gone as quickly as it came.
Right before Thanksgiving 2015, we had a few hours of snowfall. It looked beautiful, but stuck around for less than 24 hours.
Now, on the first Monday of the new year, not only is it cold enough to stick around, but it’s still forecasted to fall – as late as Wednesday this week!
My reaction – WAHOO!
My first action – put on those ridiculous North Face snow boots my husband bought me six (or more) years ago and FINALLY introduce them to this white stuff that makes the world look magical.
I think they had some fun. They asked if I would take them skiing next.
Hmmm….you know, the kids ARE getting older,…
See you tomorrow!
I felt the same way this year when the snow fell and it stayed. We purchase winter weather attire for the Winter weather and we want to wear it. Seems that mother nature is giving us a chance to do so. Not only the boots but the extra layers of clothing we have been taught to wear when it is cold. Talk about putting people outside their comfort zone this last week. How dare Hamburg temperatures drop to the 20s. But lke you, I was thankful for the snow and I welcomed the freezing temperatures. Bring it on Winter and let’s se what you can offer for Winter 2016.
