The Aftermath: A Hamburg Celebration

A new day.  A new year.  A new perspective.

I don’t know about you, but I am extremely happy to say, “Sayonara,” to 2015.

HELLO, 2016!

This year, I am making a resolution to write.  About whatever I want to get off my chest, share, or push in my own face.

Let’s ease ourselves into this new idea together.  For day one, let’s share something.  Okay?!  Kay…

I’ve been living in Germany for 18 months.  It’s been great.  It’s been fun.  And, now it’s time to change it up a bit.  The routine has settled in, things are not as exciting, fresh or new anymore and I want my next 18 months to be fantastic too.

So, this morning, after the 15 hours of non-stop fireworks we enjoyed from sundown New Year’s Eve until the sun came up New Year’s Day, we went for a little drive.  Okay, it was two and a half hours, but who’s counting.

New Year’s must be the one morning of the whole year there is no traffic, and it’s actually a joy to cruise around town.  That’s when we noticed the complete and utter destruction of the one night German’s unite and throw caution to the wind.  The order, the cleanliness, the trash separation – GONE.  It was like there was a party going on all over the city or something.

I decided that I wanted to share my findings, so I snapped a ton of photos. I want to turn them into an exhibit of sorts for you, so I’m working on titles, display, etc., but I would like to show you a preview of what I found.

I like to call this…Bubble Bath.
